Open the App Store
Navigate using your Siri Remote

From your Apple TV home screen, navigate to and select the App Store icon using your Siri Remote.
Tip: The App Store icon looks like a blue circle with a white "A". Use the touch surface on your Siri Remote to navigate.
Search for Your Chosen App
Use search or voice commands

Go to the Search tab and look for your chosen app:
- iSTB Player: Search for "iSTB Player"
- IPTV Smarters: Search for "IPTV Smarters Player"
Tip: Use the Apple TV Remote app on your iPhone for easier typing, or hold the Siri Remote microphone and say the app name.
Download and Install
Get the app from the App Store

Select your chosen app from the search results and click the 'Get' button. You may need to enter your Apple ID password or use Touch ID/Face ID.
Tip: Download typically takes 1-2 minutes. The app will appear on your home screen when installation is complete.
Launch & Setup
Open app and choose login method

Launch the app and choose your setup method:
- iSTB Player: Add playlist and select "Xtream Codes API"
- IPTV Smarters: Choose "Login with Xtream Codes API"
Tip: Xtream Codes provides the most features including EPG (TV Guide) and VOD content.
Enter Your Credentials
Input your Neo4K account details

Enter the details from your Neo4K welcome email:
Quick copy credential values:
Field mapping: Xtream Codes API uses Server URL + Username + Password. M3U method uses the playlist URL directly.
Tip: Use the Apple TV Remote app on iPhone for easier typing, or use the copied values from above.
Start Streaming!
Enjoy your Neo4K content

The app will verify your credentials and load your content. This includes:
- Live TV channels with beautiful EPG interface
- Movies and Series (VOD library)
- Time-shift and catch-up features (app dependent)
Success! Initial loading may take 2-3 minutes. Use your Siri Remote to navigate channels and explore features.

Match Content Frame Rate
Go to: Settings → Video and Audio → Match Content → Match Frame Rate: On
This ensures smooth playback by matching your TV's refresh rate to the content frame rate.
Audio Format
Try: Settings → Video and Audio → Audio Format
Switch between Stereo/Auto and Dolby Digital 5.1 if you experience audio issues.
Reduce Motion
Go to: Settings → Accessibility → Reduce Motion: On
Enable if you're sensitive to motion or want a more stable interface experience.
Network Connection
Go to: Settings → Network
Use Ethernet instead of Wi-Fi for the most stable streaming experience when possible.
Troubleshooting
App won't connect or login fails
Verify your credentials are correct and your Neo4K subscription is active. Try restarting the app and your Apple TV. Check your internet connection.
Clear app cache / reinstall app
Hold the Siri Remote touchpad on the app until it jiggles, then press Play/Pause to delete. Reinstall from the App Store to clear all cached data.
Video won't play or audio issues
Check app video settings for hardware acceleration toggle. Try different audio formats in Apple TV Settings. Increase player buffer if the app supports it (1-3 seconds).
Test with different connection
Try using your iPhone's hotspot to rule out ISP throttling. Consider using a VPN through your router if streaming works better on mobile data.
EPG not loading or timezone issues
Check your Apple TV's time zone settings. Force refresh EPG in the app settings. Some apps allow manual EPG URL configuration if automatic loading fails.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why can't I find my IPTV app in the App Store?
Some IPTV apps are region-restricted. Make sure your Apple TV is set to the correct region in Settings. Try searching for alternative apps like the ones we recommend.
EPG/TV Guide or channel groups are empty
This usually indicates a playlist loading issue. Check your internet connection, verify credentials, and try refreshing the playlist in your app settings. EPG data may take time to load initially.
What's the difference between app license and my subscription?
Your Neo4K subscription provides the content streams. App licenses (like iSTB Player Pro features) are separate purchases that unlock additional app functionality like recording or advanced EPG features.
Can I set up parental controls?
Yes, use Apple TV's built-in parental controls in Settings > General > Restrictions. You can also check if your IPTV app has its own content filtering options.
How do I use a VPN on Apple TV?
Apple TV doesn't support VPN apps directly. Install a VPN on your router, use a VPN-enabled DNS service, or share a VPN connection from a Mac/PC that your Apple TV connects through.
