Frequently Asked Questions

Is sideloading safe and legal?

Yes, installing APK files is safe when using trusted sources. Amazon allows sideloading through developer options. Only download apps from reputable developers and avoid unknown/suspicious sources.

TiviMate vs IPTV Smarters differences?

TiviMate offers premium features (EPG, multiple playlists, recordings) via in-app purchase. IPTV Smarters Pro is completely free with all features included. Both support Xtream Codes API and M3U playlists. TiviMate has a more polished TV-optimized interface.

How to update sideloaded apps?

Re-run Downloader with the latest APK URL and install over the existing app. Your settings and login will be preserved. Some apps like TiviMate have built-in update notifications. Contact support for the latest download URLs.

Recording support and storage requirements?

TiviMate Premium supports recordings to external USB drives (requires OTG adapter on Fire TV Stick). Fire TV Cube has USB ports built-in. Recordings need fast USB 3.0 storage. IPTV Smarters Pro has limited recording features.

Can I use a mouse for better navigation?

Yes, you can enable Mouse Toggle in Fire TV accessibility settings or sideload Mouse Toggle app. This can help with apps that aren't fully optimized for TV remote navigation. However, most quality IPTV apps work well with the standard Fire TV remote.

How to uninstall apps cleanly?

Settings → Applications → Manage Installed Applications → [App Name] → Uninstall. For complete removal, also clear data/cache before uninstalling. This ensures no leftover files consume storage space.

Which Fire TV model works best for IPTV?

Fire TV Stick 4K Max offers the best performance with 2GB RAM and faster processor. Fire TV Cube provides ethernet port and more storage. Basic Fire TV Stick works but may struggle with 4K content or multiple apps. Avoid 1st gen devices due to limited RAM and processing power.
